Beach and Boardwalk

Rehoboth Beach and Boardwalk - Listed as the "Best of America" in two categories in Reader's Digest and voted "One of the Top Ten (10) Beaches" in the U.S., Rehoboth Beach and Boardwalk are renowned for their charm, beauty and accessibility. The extensive beach and 1.2 mile boardwalk are located at the end of Rehoboth Avenue and features concerts at the Bandstand, limitless shopping opportunities and world-class dining.

Bethany Beach and Boardwalk - Located in the "Quiet Resorts," Bethany Beach boasts a newly replenished beach, doubling it's size over just a year ago! Bethany Beach also features a beautiful boardwalk right in the heart of the downtown business district, convenient to shopping, dining and other recreation activities.

Lewes - The town of Lewes is located just north of Rehoboth Beach and is the oldest town in the state of Delaware. The town serves as home to the Cape Henlopen State Park, which features hundreds of acres of parklands, access to guarded beaches, bike and hiking trails, a nature center and so much more! Lewes is also home to Lewes Beach, which is situated on the Delaway Bay and offers fewer people and small waves as compared to the ocean.

Fenwick Island - Generations of families have grown up on the Fenwick Island beach swimming, body surfing, building sand castles and chasing seagulls. Fenwick Island has been known as "Fisherman's Paradise" for over 75 years, and fishermen can be seen daily on the beach at sunrise casting for bluefish, rockfish, and flounder.

Tours

Dogfish Head Brewery Tours - Free guided tours are available every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 3pm. The Brewery is located in Cannery Village Center in downtown Milton. For additional information, please call 302-684-1000 or visit their website.

Marine Tours - Sponsored by the University of Delaware College of Marine Studies in Lewes. Tours are from June-August, offered every Friday starting at 10:30am. Reservations are required and the tour is suitable for children ages 12 and up. Call 302-645-4346 for more information.

Nassau Valley Vineyards - Self-guided tours and wine tastings are available any time during operational hours and are free. Guided group tours are available for Motorcoaches and other groups of 15 or more. Guided tours are available by appoinment only and are available Tuesday-Thursday. Anna Hazzard Museum - A Camp Meeting Era "Tent" structure housing Rehoboth artifacts and memorabilia. Located at 17 Christian Street in Rehoboth Beach. Please call 302-227-7310 for additional information.

DiscoverSea Shipwreck Museum - Delmarva's premier maritime museum dedicated to preserving our maritime heritage. Admission is free. Please visit their website for more information on exhibits and hours.

Lewes Historical Society - The Lewes Historical Society began in 1961 as local residents identified a need to preserve Lewes' architectural heritage and for an organization to act as a steward for Lewes' past - a history that stretches back to humble Dutch origins in 1631. The Society has been recognized as one of Delaware's greatest assets and has been honored for our efforts by the National Trust for Historic Preservation and by the American Association for State & Local History. Overfalls Maritime Museum - Located in historic Lewes on the canal, the Overfalls Museum highlights one of the only remaining, intact light ships. Guided tours are available Friday-Sunday, Memorial Day through Labor Day. Please call 302-645-4733 for additional information.

Rehoboth Art League - The Rehoboth Art League is located in picturesque Henlopen Acres. The facility hosts year-round exhibitions, lectures, concerts and workshops for adults and children in many diverse fields. For more information, please visit their website.

Rehoboth Beach Museum - The Rehoboth Beach Museum showcases post-1891 collections of Rehoboth Beach archives, photographs and memorabilia. The museum is located next to the Rehoboth Beach Chamber of Commerce Office at 511 Rehoboth Avenue. Call 302-227-7310 for more information.

Zwaanendael Museum - The Zwaanendael Museum is a replica of the city hall in Hoorn, Netherlands, which was dedicated in 1931 to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the first settlement in what is now Delaware. Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra - An exceptional 2007-2008 Season Series comprises five full concerts, presenting 17 performances in 3 or 4 venues, with an exciting program of great masters, virtuoso soloists and celebrated vocalists, as well as the World Premiere of a composition by accomplished 12 year-old Thomas Reeves. The MSO will also collaborate with the Southern Delaware Choral Society in a special performance of Handel's Messiah in Milton, Delaware, with four acclaimed vocalists. Funland - Funland is a family amusement center located on the boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
